Exams Invigilator/Reader/Scribe

Invigilator Job Description

Summary of the role
You will be required to do any of the following roles:
• Invigilate exams
• Reading (reading examination paper to student)
• Scribe (writing answers for the student)
• Assisting word processing if the student has this facility, supervising students who have breaks in between questions as well as assisting students who have a visual impairment or medical/emotional issues.

Hours and days of work:
• The GCSE exams begin on Tuesday 5th May and finish on Wednesday 17th June, with sessions from 8.45 – 11.15am and 1.15 to 3.45pm.
• The successful candidate will be allocated sessions within the exam series.

You must:
• Be able to support a calm, purposeful examination experience for our pupils.
• Be a positive role model.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in a school environment and/or in invigilating for exams would be an advantage.
