Here is one of the stories for you to enjoy :
The Button
One day I was out for a stroll on the park. It was a lovely day, the sky was blue and the sun was out. I saw a magnificent tree for climbing upon, it's branches were big and bulky and well spread out. But I noticed something unusual about it, a button, a big red button in the centre of its trunk.
I pressed it wondering what it would do. Suddenly a very large face appeared in the trunk. It spoke to me. It said "You have pushed my button, I will now transport you into the past!" I couldn't believe it, a tree was talking to me! But before I could say anything I was taken back in time.
I was now on a dusty street. I saw a few girls, about my age, selling roses. I tapped a girl with a blue frock and golden locks and asked: "Could you please tell me what year it is?" As she turned around I felt as if I'd known her or recognised her from somewhere. Then it came to me. Mum had once showed me a photo of her wedding day and told me and showed me that her Grandma was there, this little girl was my Great Grandma!
She answered "It is the year 1903 and do you mind if I ask, what is your name?"
"My name is Tom, and yours?" I asked still in awe.
"Jessica Mastell, it's a pleasure to meet you!" she said.
So this really was my Great Grandma, I couldn't believe it!
"Mum told me all about you." I whispered.
"I beg your pardon?" she shouted looking very puzzled.
"This is going to be very hard for you to understand but, you're my Great Grandma." I told her softly.
"But how can I be, I look no older than you!" Jessica said in a puzzled voice.
"This is really difficult." I said. "Um, I travelled back in time.
" You're really strange!" She added. "Mummy said not to talk to people like you!"
And with that she ran away. I was just glad that I'd met her.
The tree's voice appeared again, it said " I will now transport you back into the Year 2011!"
With a whoosh!! I was back in the park again staring at the button, the big red button.
"Wow!" I gasped "What a day!"
