Our aim is to nurture happy, individual achievers and St John’s is loved by both our parents and children. This small selection of the testimonials that we have received over the years explains this in some of their own words.

“St. John’s School in Billericay is a wonderful school full of truly happy children and students as well as long serving staff members. It is an incredibly caring school and if you are thinking of putting your child there please do not hesitate. My daughter started late in Year 8 and has just left with amazing results. She was very happy there and very sad to leave. After bad experiences with her private pre prep and her secondary school in Chelmsford, we finally found St. John’s who welcomed us immediately. There’s no stuffy politics here – just frankness. The staff are very professional, excellent teaching staff and small groups of students and everyone, children, staff and tutors are unbelievably caring towards each other. The results at St. John’s are very impressive and I am convinced this is due to the very happy nature of the students across the board. My only regret is that I didn’t place my daughter at St. John’s aged 3. You get excellent value for money and the staff are refreshingly honest, open and straightforward. The Head Teacher is very approachable and always happy to help. The one thing that struck me right from day one was how, at St. John’s, individuality is celebrated. This builds confidence. The teaching is quality. I could not have asked for any more (other than a Sixth Form which is on the cards) Truly a well managed and very happy school with happy parents at the gate and excellent facilities and opportunities. Go look for yourself.” Parent

“On behalf of our son, we would like to thank all of the staff for the care and support that you have given him throughout his time at St John’s. Despite his severe dyslexia, he managed excellent GCSE results and has gone on to study his beloved Science at Southend High School for girls. There is no doubt in our minds that the care and enthusiasm of the teaching staff has enabled him to achieve his excellent results, and given him the best possible opportunity for the remainder of his life.” Parent

“I just wanted to tell you that my son is happy and settled at University and is doing very well with his studies all thanks to you and your wonderful teaching staff. We will never ever forget what you all did for him.  Thank you doesn’t ever seem enough.  We are indebted to you.” Parent

“What a fantastic year for St John’s. Many thanks to all your staff for their tremendous efforts.” Parent

“Thank you for another fantastic year at St John’s. We are delighted with her progress but most of all she is a very happy and confident little girl.” Parent

“Thanks for all the support you give me.  I feel this is the best school in the world.” Pupil

“Our daughter has announced on a number of occasions that she is very happy at St John’s. She has a nice group of friends,  and is very proud of her new school. As a parent I have noticed some very positive improvements. Moving her to St John’s is one of the best things we could have done for her.” Parent

Our daughter has just achieved a 1st Class Hons degree at Bath University.  The formative years in education and social skills are perhaps the most important grounding for anyone, and fortunately for us her time at St. John’s gave her the best start in life, mostly due to the care and guidance of your staff. Thank you!” Parent

I can’t thank you enough for all St.John’s has done to help me meet the challenges of my GCSE exams. Not only do I appreciate the high standards of teaching, I also enjoy the caring environment. St John’s approach is the perfect mix of discipline and understanding.” Pupil”

“I have been coming to St John’s since I was three.  I love my school because every day I learn something new which is just like an adventure.” Pupil

“As I sit to write this, it is hard to know how to put into words how grateful I am to St John’s for the inspiration you have been to our daughter. Being a teacher myself, I have always believed that a child is only limited in their achievements by the adult’s expectations of them. You have managed wisely and discretely to allow our daughter to blossom at her own pace and this is probably the greatest gift that you could give.” Parent

“This school has a unique atmosphere like no other. Everybody genuinely cares about you and it is such a nice feeling. Achievements and good work are praised and everybody is proud of when they do well. I feel so happy and proud to be part of your wonderful school and I will never ever forget it.” Pupil

“We would like to thank the team at St. John’s for all that they have done for our son. They have reached out and captivated him from the start. The change we have noticed in him has been amazing. He talks non-stop about the teachers, and we feel that he is being completely stimulated during the day and enthusiastically applies what he has learnt when he gets home.” Parent

“St John’s for me equals learning with friendship. Who could ever ask for more?” Pupil

“We would like to thank your wonderful school once again for all that you have done and do for our son. Without your kindness, caring and understanding he would not have achieved so much!” Parents

“Since attending St John’s, my son has been a completely different boy. He is thriving on the positive comments from both his teachers and peers and is really enjoying coming to school. His confidence is growing daily and he is no longer worried about speaking out in class. He has even commented that he didn’t realise that school was meant to be like it is now, he always thought it was meant to be a trial!” Parent

“A huge thank you to the St John’s wonderful staff for helping my son achieve such fantastic results. When he joined in Year 8 we could not have imagined that he would achieve so well in so many key subjects.” Parent
